It wouldn’t be a Maker Faire without Robots! We are in luck: the Fremont High School Robotics team, The Firebots, will be on hand at the 1st Annual San Jose Mini Maker Faire to show off some of their creations!

The Fremont High Firebots, founded in 2010, is a student-led organization focused on robotics. With over 55 active members, the team competes annually in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).

Some of their creations include Spark, designed to pick up stack plastic crates; Oddjob, who could shoot Frisbees and defend its own goal; and the Companion Cube which used pneumatic pistons to move game balls past opponents and who finished who finished as a semifinalist at Central Valley Regional FRC.
